Fotografski stil je sličan impresionističkom slikarskom stilu koji se razvio tijekom 19. stoljeća. Često se radi o noćnim, impresionističkim motivima u uvjetima slabijeg osvjetljenja kao što su: fotografije u sumrak, fotografije u samoći, fotografije u kontra-svjetlu.

Fotografija je usredotočena na efekte kao što su svjetlo, sjena i atmosfera a manje na sam objekt ili oštrinu slike.

The photographic style is similar to the Impressionist painting style that developed during the 19th century. It often involves nocturnal, impressionistic themes in conditions of low lighting, such as twilight photographs, images of solitude, and backlit photographs.

The photograph focuses on effects such as light, shadow, and atmosphere rather than on the subject itself or the sharpness of the image.

U sklopu 43. Pozorišnih/Kazališnih igara u Gradskoj Galeriji Doma kulture Jajce otvorena je izložba SIMBIOZA FOTOGRAFIJE I POEZIJE autora Edine Demir Šahman i Stjepan Jelice. Izložba je svojevrsni omaž odrastanju i povratku u rodni grad Jajce. Zahvalnost dugujem akademskom slikaru Samiru Hažbiću na pozivu.

“Veliko zadovoljstvo i čast mi je što sam večeras ovdje upoznao ove umjetnike, radujem se novom poznanstvu, a najljepše je kad ljude prvo upoznamo kroz njihov rad. Ovo je jedna impresionistička fotografija polaze negdje iznutra, predmet koji se fotografira je samo povod, a rezultat ono što se osjeti  negdje iznutra, svojom dušom, svojom mišlju, svojim osjećanjima. Očito se Stjepan bavi tim gledanjem u prirodu kroz vlastite oči, vlastiti objektiv, a što je važnije kroz vlastitu osjećajnost.

As part of the 43rd Theatre Games in the City Gallery of the Cultural Centre in Jajce, the exhibition SIMBIOZA OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND POETRY by authors Edina Demir Šahman and Stjepan Jelica was opened. The exhibition is a kind of homage to growing up and returning to the hometown of Jajce. I owe my gratitude to the academic painter Samir Hažbić for the invitation.

SPEECH BY STRAJO KRSMANOVIĆ, DIRECTOR OF THE ART GALLERY OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA:

“It is a great pleasure and honor to meet these artists here tonight. I am looking forward to this new acquaintance, and it is most beautiful when we first know people through their work. This is an impressionistic photograph that comes from somewhere within; the subject being photographed is merely an excuse, while the result is what is felt from somewhere inside, with one’s soul, thoughts, and feelings. It is evident that Stjepan engages in this looking at nature through his own eyes, his own lens, and more importantly, through his own sensibility.”

FOTOGRAFIJA MJESECA-NAGRADA TURISTIČKE ZAJEDNICE GRADA VUKOVARA

Fotografija “Vukovar voli” izabrana je od komisije Turističke zajednice Grada Vukovara za mjesec veljaču 2024. godine. Natječaj traje do kraja 2024. godine a autori su mogli poslati samo jednu fotografiju.

Sve fotografije koje budu odabrane biti će u kalendaru za 2025. godinu te postavljene na javnim površinama.

Fotografija je istaknuta na panou stanice gradskog prijevoza Grada Vukovara.

PHOTO OF THE MONTH VUKOVAR TOURIST BOARD AWARD

The photograph “Vukovar loves” has been selected by the commission of the Tourist Board of the City of Vukovar for the month of February 2024. The competition runs until the end of 2024, and authors were allowed to submit only one photograph.

All selected photographs will be included in the calendar for 2025 and displayed in public spaces.

The photograph is featured on the panel of the city transport station in the City of Vukovar.

Fotografija “Nedostajanje” izabrana je od strane  više kustosice Muzeja grada Rijeke Marije Lazanja Dušević na foto natječaju “Plavi i zlatni sat” Foto saveza Primorkso-goranske županije 2025. godine.

Sve odabrane fotografije i ostalih autora izložene su u Galeriji “Principij” Rijeka od 22.-29.siječnja 20025. godine.

Fotografija je nastala na riječkoj Delti a nosi naziv “Nedostajanje”

SELECTED AUTHOR BY THE “PRINCIPIJ” GALLERY IN RIJEKA AT THE PHOTO UNION OF PRIMORSKO-GORANSKA COUNTY COMPETITION “BLUE AND GOLD HOUR”

The photograph “Missing” was selected by senior curator of the Museum of the City of Rijeka, Marija Lazanja Dušević, in the photo competition “Blue and Golden Hour” organized by the Photography Association of Primorsko-Goranksa County in 2025.

All selected photogrpaps from other authors are exibited at the “Principij” gallaery in Rijkea from January 22 to January 29, 2005.

The photography was taken at the Delta in Rijeka and is titled “Missing”
